Bhopal:Monday, July 21:Schemes are afoot in the state for the uplift of Bedia, Banchara and Sansi tribes under Jabali Yojana with a view to eliminate prostitution. With the help of N.G.O’s 12 Ashram Shalas are being conducted for the children belonging to these tribes.
Every boy and girl hosteller is given Rs 350 and Rs 360 stipend. Every Ashram Shala has the capacity of lodging 50 children. This year also, 953 children would be benefited under this scheme. Allocation to the tune of Rs 67 lakh 10 thousand has been made in the budget for the current year.
Other schemes are also being implemented under Jabali Yojana including women’s economic uplift, health check-ups, treatment, public awareness etc.
