Bhopal:March 29, (Yasha Sharma)Implementation of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed for different projects in the field of real estate has already
begun in the state. These involve capital investment of Rs. 10 thousand 500 crore. The Minister for Industries and Commerce Shri Jayant Malaiya informed this at a meeting held here to review progress of the implementation of the MoUs executed in different fields here today.
It may be mentioned here that 102 Memoranda of Understanding for investment of 1 lakh 20 thousand 541 crore were inked at the Global Investors Summit held at Indore. Of these, MoUs of Rs. 10 thousand 500 crore pertained to real estate. Foreign investment is likely in almost all the real estate projects. These include multiplexes, malls, commercial complexes, residential colonies, golf courses, entertainment centres, IT and BPO service centres.
Addressing the review meeting Shri Malaiya directed the officers to ensure release of sanctions and NOCs to the investors as per rules without delay for the real estate projects. He said that all the processes should be hassle-free.
Representatives of 14 companies who had signed the MoUs for real estate were invited to the meeting. Representatives of 12 companies apprised the minister of the status of implementation of their projects. They also discussed the difficulties being faced in implementation of the projects.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included the Principal Secretary, Industries Shri Satya Prakash; Principal Secretary, Housing and Environment Devraj Virdi; Commissioner Industries Shri Deepak Khandekar; Managing Director, TRIFAC Shri Praveen Garg; Director, Town and Country Planning Smt. Deepti Gaud; Deputy Secretary, Urban Development Shri Surendra Upadhyaya; Additional Managing Director, TRIFAC Shri Harshvardhan Shrivastava and other officers concerned.
