26 Apr : Hard work, honesty and dutifulness are the keys to success for those who choose public service. This view was expressed by CBI Director Shri Ashwini Kumar while addressing the concluding function of training to officers of All-India/Central Services at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration here today. The function was presided over by Chief Secretary Shri Avani Vaish. Academy’s Director General Dr. Sandeep Khanna, former chief secretary Shri KS Sharma, serving and retired IAS and IPS officers, experts and trainee officers were present on the occasion.
CBI Director Shri Ashwini Kumar said that Gita’s adage ‘Do work without caring for reward’ applies perfectly to government services. He exhorted the trainee officers to adopt the straight path of success and mold themselves according to situation like water.
Chief Secretary Shri Avani Vaish exhorted the trainee officers to be sensitive towards the common man’s problems, try to solve people’s problems speedily and adopt a positive stance towards developmental works. He asked the officers to be courteous towards their seniors as well as sub-ordinate staff. Then only they will be able to achieve desired results.
At the outset, Academy Director General Dr. Sandeep Khanna welcomed the guests of honour and others and introduced them. He informed that the Academy has undertaken efforts to effectively conduct this 15-week training programme for senior as well as trainee officers of All-India Services in which 82 officers took part including 62 from Indian Police Service, 8 from Indian Postal Service, 10 from Indian Forest Service and 2 from Indian Administrative Services.
Shri Ashwini Kumar also released a souvenir ‘Manisha’ about the basic training programme on the occasion.
Awards: Chief guest Shri Ashwini Kumar distributed awards among the trainees for excellence in academic and extra-curricular activities during the training period. IPS Shri Ashwini Kumar given first prize in academics and Smt. Mamta Vishnoi in PT, MP Cadre IPS Officer Dr. Ashish received a reward for excellence in PT while IPS Officer Shri Jitendra Singh Meena was declared as Best All Rounder. IPS Officer Shri Ramgopal was awarded for Best Essay while Shri Manish Kumar was given a prize for Best Book Review. IPS Officers Shri Chandrashekhar Meena was adjudged as Best Male Player and IPS Officer Smt. Pushpanjali Devi as the Best Women Player. Later, Chief Secretary Shri Avani Vaish presented a special Braille software to sight-impaired IAS Officer Shri Gopal Tiwari, who is posted at Chhindwara.
