Bhopal:Friday, August 22, 2008:The pilgrims going to perform Haj through Madhya Pradesh State Haj Committee would be required to deposit amounts of foreign exchange and airfare invariably by September 30, 2008. According to information received from Haj Committee India, these amounts would be deposited in account of Haj Committee India’s current account in core banking branches of State Bank of India. The exchange rate of Saudi Riyal has been fixed at Rs 11.65.According to State Haj Committee secretary Smt. Nusrat Mehdi, the airfare for every Haj pilgrim has been fixed at Rs 12 thousand. Similarly, amounts of foreign exchange have also been fixed for various categories. The first class green category pilgrims not getting Rubat to stay at Makkah and Medina would have to deposit Rs 72 thousand 522 and second class white category Rs 63 thousand 206 while third class Azizia category pilgrims would be required to deposit Rs 62 thousand 42. Those who have been permitted to stay at Rubat at Medina alone would have to deposit Rs 66 thousand 700 for green category, Rs 57 thousand 384 for white and Rs 56 thousand 219 for Azizia categories.
Similarly, those Haj pilgrims who have got permission to stay in Rubat at Makkah would deposit Rs 37 thousand 587 and those permitted to stay at Rubats in both Makkaha and Medina would have to deposit Rs 31 thousand 765. Besides, Shia pilgrims have been given the option of Meeqat (Johfa) for which they would have to deposit 100 Saudi Riyals (Rs one thousand 165) for transport charges.
The foreign exchange and advance airfare would have to be deposited in the current account No. 30361856116 of Haj Committee India in the State Bank of India’s core banking branches. Haj Committee India has sent pay-in slips to each successful Haj pilgrim by post. If any Haj pilgrim has not received his pay-in slip, he can download the same from Haj Committee India, Mumbai’s web site www.hajcommittee.com and use it. Besides, the pilgrim can also use the blank pay-in slip if it is already in his possession. The pilgrim would have to send the pay-in slip after filling it along a covering letter containing his name, address and cover number directly to the address of Chief Executive Officer, Haj Committee, Haj House, 7-1, M.R.A. Marg (Paltan Road), Mumbai-40001.
