Bhopal:December 10 :Governor Dr. Jakhar has exhorted the teaching community to raise sensitive, well-mannered and quality-conscious generation for the country’s bright future. Dr. Jakhar was addressing teachers, principals and educationists drawn from various states after inaugurating the three-day 15th National Sahodaya School Complex conference being organised by Central Board of Secondary Education.
Describing the teaching community as the most revered sections of society, the Governor said that teachers are the real guides of the young generation which are the future of the country.
Governor Dr. Jakhar said that the education system should be such that it can develop a person into a perfect human being so that human values can be strengthened in the society. He said that this is possible only through comprehensive education. Without teacher, there is no difference between a human being and an animal. Education is the real treasure of life. Pointing out that teachers are the role model of students, the Governor exhorted them to acquire good behaviour and character so that they can become a source of inspiration for their students and guide them to the right path. Dr. Jakhar laid emphasis on making the new generation dedicated for conservation of environment and nature.
Earlier, Governor Dr. Jakhar inaugurated the conference by lighting a lamp and also released souvenir of Sahodaya movement. The Governor was honoured by the CBSE by presenting him with a memento. At the outset, chairperson of Central Board of Secondary Education Shri Vineet Joshi threw light on the objectives of the conference. The function was presided over by Joint Secretary of Union Human Resource Ministry Shri S.C. Khurtia. Professor Shri Ved Prakash dwelt in detail on the present situation of education system in the country, future potentials and history of teaching in India.
