Proper benefits of salary and allowance to be ensured, Instructions issued to remove anomaliesBhopal:Saturday, September 13, 2008:The state government has taken a serious note of the information that in some districts contractual teachers are not getting the benefit of dearness allowance. Similarly, there is no uniformity in pay scales of Shikshakarmis in various districts. The state government has issued instructions to all the district collectors and concerning officers to ensure that according ot tis decision taken earlier, the teachers get proper benefits of salary and allowances and bring about uniformity in their pay scale.
It may be mentioned that the state government had decided to create teacher’s cadre by merging the services of Shikshakarmis and appointment of contractual school teachers from April 1, 2007. As per the order, contractual school teachers appointed in teacher’s cadre were supposed to be given 20 percent dearness allowance in proportion to minimum salary. They were also to be given benefit of dearness allowance announced by the state government from time to time at the same rate. These instructions have been reiterated to all the concerning district officers with a directive that they should fix proper quantum of salary and allowances.
It has also been brought to the notice of the state government that there is no uniformity in fixation of salaries of Shikshakarmis and contractual school teachers. The state government has also taken a serious view of this information as well and has instructed the concerning officers to ensure uniform process. The government has even sent proforma of salary fixation along with the instructions. Directive has been given to act as per the proforma at the earliest.
