Bhopal , June 2 : The State government has decided to increase limit of creamy layer for backward classes to Rs 4.5 lakh from Rs 2.5 lakh. The State government has taken this decision subsequent to the decision taken by the Union government in this regard in October 2008.
It may be mentioned that the State government had increased the creamy layer limit to Rs 2.5 lakh from Rs 2 lakh in April 2006. Through the same order the State government had announced that it will recognise the upward revision of the creamy by the Union government as and when it is undertaken.

pl send a copy of circular of m p govt showing that post held ¬ the salary is decisive factor ,i think circular is of 25/2/2003 ,pl attach circular of DOPT dated 11/ 10/2004
Thanks the MP Govt to increase the OBC creamy layer limit of Rule no. 6 of MP State creamy layer criteria dated 25.03.2003 to 4.50 lakhs for three consecutive years.
It is regrettable that in this Govt Order dated 02.06.2009 the MP State govt has changed the Explanation mentioned by Govt of India in their Govt order dated 14.10.2008 “Income from salaries or agricultural land shall not be clubbed.” to “Income from salaries or agricultural land shall not be clubbed jointly.”
Why this change or insertion of word “jointly” has been done?
This change is illegal and giving trouble to OBCs.
It should be corrected immediately to “Income from salaries or agricultural land shall not be clubbed” as mentioned by Govt of India in their Govt order dated 14.10.2008.
