Bhopal:Friday, January 15, :The Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the preparations being made for Sant Ravidas Jayanti function at the Mantralaya here today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will attend the function, which will be held from January 29 to 31 at Ujjain. Over one lakh persons from Ujjain and neighbouring districts are likely to take part in the function, which will be observed like a Mahakumbh.
Those present at the meeting included former Union Minister Shri Satyanarayan Jatia, Transport and Jail Minister Shri Jagdish Deora and SC, ST Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, who is also in-charge minister for Ujjain district.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to organise Sant Ravidas Jayanti function in a dignified manner. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also apprised himself of the necessary arrangements to be made for the participants. He also instructed to organise a three-day exhibition during the function. The meeting also discussed presentation of Sant Ravidas’ Bhajans, raising a memorial near his Gadi Sthal, research on works of Sant Ravidas and instituting an award in his name. Officers of concerning departments were also present at the meeting.
