Gwalior: July 29 :Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has inaugurated newly constructed bypass surgery and valve replacement unit at Birla Hospital, here today. Shri Chouhan said that this could be possible due to the creation of favourable atmosphere and good working conditions of capital investment in health sector in the state.
This is the first cardio treatment unit of Gwalior region, which was needed since last long. With the setting up of these units, heart patients from poor families will be benefited. In the absence of these units, the heart patients were compelled to go Delhi or other major cities for the surgery.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also inspected the medical room, operation theatre and the medical equipments installed for the treatment. This is a noble cause to serve the poor on cheaper expenses. He also hailed the efforts of Birla Hospital management for the installation of this heart treatment unit. Shri Chouhan said that it is also the responsibility of every government to make necessary arrangements for the treatment of poor. The government of Madhya Pradesh is working on the same line. He further said that the state government has launched Deendayal Antyodaya Treatment Scheme for the sake of poor families. Shri Chouhan also informed that the state government has implemented Rajya Bimari Sahayata Yojana for the treatment of serious ailments of the poor. In view to reduce the child mortality rate, the Janani Suraksha Yojana is also undertaken in the state, he added.
Water Resources Minister, Shri Anup Mishra; Panchayat and Rural Development Minister, Shri Rustam Singh; Mayor, Shri V.N. Shejvalkar; Member of Parliament Shri Ramlakhan Singh; Trustees of Birla Health Institute, Shri Virendra Gangwal, Shri S.S. Chhapariya, Shri Vasudev Dalmiya and Shri Girdhar Harlal were also present on the occasion.
