Balaghat:Sunday, April 27:Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh launched the Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana here today.Addressing a massive gathering of people on the occasion Dr. Raman Singh was all praise for the schemes and programmes being implemented in Madhya Pradesh for all sections of society with special emphasis on the poor and the weak. He said that the scheme would ensure adequate food supply to the poor to feed their families.
The Minister for Public Health Engineering Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh, Member of Parliament Shri Gaurishankar Bisen, MLAs Shri K.D. Deshmukh, Shri Bhagat Singh Netam, Shri Bodhsingh Bhagat, Shri Kishore Samarite and other public representatives were also present on the occasion,Referring to the various schemes introduced by Madhya Pradesh government Dr. Raman Singh said that a good network of quality roads is being developed in the state. The farmers are being provided farm loans at 5 percent interest rate and electricity dues of farmers totaling Rs. 2000 crore have been waived off. Rs. 100 per quintal bonus is being given on procurement of wheat at support price. He also praised Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana and Ladali Laxami Yojana describing them as a laudable initiative towards removing the bias against girl child. The investors meet have succeeded in attracting investments in industry sector in the state. The state government headed by the Chief Minster Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is taking and implementing in right earnest very good decisions in the interest of the poor, he added.
Dr. Singh made a token distribution of gunny bags containing food grains under Annapurna Yojana to some beneficiaries on the occasion. He also gave away saving certificates to 5 girls under Ladali Laxami Yojana.
Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh and Shri Gaurishankar Bisen also expressed their views on the occasion.
