Bhopal:Saturday, January 16 : Higher Education and Technical Education Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma has instructed for preparing a time bound programme for regular inspection of both government and private colleges. Shri Sharma was reviewing departmental activities at a meeting of senior officers. He instructed the officers to monitor inspection work themselves. Those present at the meeting included Principal Secretary Higher Education and Technical Education Shri Jaideep Govind, Commissioner Higher Education Shri Ashish Upadhyaya and senior officers of the two departments.
The Higher Education Minister also reviewed implementation on Chief Minister’s announcements, Manthan recommendations and announcements made by the Chief Minister at Panchayats pertaining to various departments apart from both the department’s proposals which are pending with the Union Government for approval. He said that inspection reports filed by officers will be regularly monitored and surprise inspections of colleges will also be undertaken. He instructed both the departments to fill the vacant posts at the earliest.
He apprised himself of the situation of construction of colleges’ buildings. He instructed for organising a meeting of concerning departments’ officers on the issue of delay in construction by the construction agencies. He stressed the need to give special attention of cadre management in both the departments.
The Higher Education Minister instructed for regular inspection of both government and private colleges. The meeting was told that Rs 44 crore has been received from the Union government for establishing and upgrading polytechnic colleges. He instructed to include the scheme of upgrading industrial training institutes in PPP Mode.
