Counselling would also be made onlineBhopal:Sunday, July 27:Admissions are on for B Ed for the academic year 2008-09 in the state. This process is being undertaken online for the first time.Anyone interested in admission to B Ed course can avail information of entire admission process and terms and conditions from any internet café. But for cash payment against registration and admission fees, a student would have to visit a kiosk (e-gumti) authorised by MPonline. A student would have to deposit Rs 5000 against admission fee and Rs 100 as registration fee. The list of authorised kiosks is available on the websites of MPonline and Higher Education Department.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Department has made it clear that there is no age limit for admission to B Ed. But before applying the applicant should ensure whether he fulfils all other eligibilities/abilities. Applicants have also been advised not to pay more than fixed fees at the kiosk. If more amount is demanded, an applicant can immediately complain to the district collector. The candidates having credit cards can deposit their fees on the website of MPonline.
Along with the application, a candidate would have to upload his photograph, birth certificate, mark sheet of graduation and domicile certificate on the web site which he can do at any e-gumti or an internet café having scanning facility.
Online admission to B Ed course would remain open till July 31, 2008. The merit list of selected candidates would be prepared on August 4. Candidates living outside would not have to visit Bhopal since the counselling for admission would also be done online from August 6 to 14.
