Bhopal:Friday, December 12, 2008:Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi Sanskriti Parishad, Bhopal is organising a function in memory of Balkrishna Sharma ‘Naveen’, who was a leading figure of freedom struggle as well as a noted poet and journalist. The function will be organised at Shujalpur on December 14 and 15. The objective of the function is to inculcate patriotism among the masses.
On December 14 at 6.30 pm a literary session has been organised at Saraswati Vidya Mandir situated at Shujalpur Mandi where Dr. Shyam Sunder Dubey will deliver a lecture on ‘social outlook of Balkrishna Sharma Naveen’, Dr. Ratnesh on Naveen’s speeches and letters, Dr. Nathuram Rathore on ‘Urmila of Naveen’, Shri Anil Soumitra on Naveen’s editorials and Dr. Qazi S. Rehman and Shri Paras Chopra will deliver a lecture on the ‘life of Balkrishna Sharma Naveen’.
On the second day on December 15 at 12.30 noon students will recite poems of Naveen at Ramchandra Chaube Memorial Higher Secondary School. At 2.30 a painting contest focusing on Naveen’s poem ‘Kyon rote ho yaar sipahi’. Cash prizes and certificates will be given to winners of both the competitions.
The same day at 7 pm, poems will be recited by Shri Narendra Gaur, Smt. Rajshri Rawat, Dr. Ram Manawat, Shri Shyam Manawat, Shri Dev Himanshu, Shri Lad Singh Gurjar, Shri Vanshdhar Bandhu, Shri Akshat Mohan, Shri Jeevan Arya and Smt. Greeshma Sandeep Shah at a function to be presided over by Dr. Shyam Sundar Dube.
