Bhopal:April 1, This may sound queer, but it is true that that Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has made the path of life easy for physically challenged Ravindra Singh Thakur. The road and tricycle both have become boons for 20-year-old Ravindra Singh Thakur.
Only one year after his birth, Ravindra developed handicap in both of his legs. After growing up, he was facing a lot of problems when Jabera Janpad gave him a free tricycle. This facilitated him to some extent as he got training of computer and also got a job. Yet, he had to overcome the difficulty of plying the tricycle from village Mala up to village Dhungi and back due to dirt road. But with the laying of asphalt road between the two villages, he traverses the three-kilometre distance with ease by his tricycle. At present he is getting Rs 1500 for operating computer.
Now Ravindra Singh Thakur is a self-dependent man despite his handicap. The road has also eased life for Chikhai Patel, Sarman Patel and Moolchand of village Kuda Kudan and Jeevan of village Halli.
