Bhopal: Saturday, January 22, 2011: In the series of Antodaya Mela, Naugaon of Chhattarpur is going to host the function on January 28. In the Mela, around one lakh 51 thousand people will be benefited under various schemes of State Government. The preparations for the function are in full swing on the directives of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Minister of State for Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development and Minister In-charge of District Shri Harishankar Khatik took the stock of preparations at the site of function. He instructed the officials to ensure additional facilities in view of huge participants.
Novel Way To Identify Beneficiaries
With a view to benefiting as many as people at the Mela, a door to door survey was conducted at all Janpad Panchayats for last 20 days. Ground level workers, Gram Panchayat Sachiv, Anganwadi and Gram Vistar Adhikari had carried out surveys at the directives of District In-charge Minister Shri Khatik.
The survey was monitored at Janpad Panchayat and block level. During the survey, beneficiaries were detected and asked about schemes, whether they were being benefited under any scheme or not. Deprived of schemes were found out in the survey. The real beneficiaries were listed for the benefits under various schemes. Besides, the grievances of the people were separately registered. Applications collected during the Garib Melas held recently will be disposed of at the Mela.
Big Stage At Mela Ground
A big stage being set to host the Antodaya Mela. The works for decoration stage are on war footing with giving final touch. Beneficiaries have been classified under various schemes. The Minister Shri Khatik reviewed the progress of all preparations at a meeting of Collector, Superintendent of Police and other officials of concerned departments.
