Bhopal, June 10:Patriotic songs written in Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Bundeli, Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Malwi, Nimari, Bagheli, Gondi, Bangla, Marathi and other languages and dialects have been compiled and recorded with music by Swaraj Sansthan Sanchanalay. These patriotic songs penned by freedom fighters are being broadcast by Akashwani on radio in its programme ‘Watan Ke Raag’. The programme is broadcast at 8.30 am on Thursdays from all the centres of Akashwani in Madhya Pradesh and at 9 am on Sundays from Vividh Bharati’s FM channels.
The broadcast of ‘Watan Ke Raag’ had commenced from January 26, 2006. So far, 425 patriotic songs have been aired in 132 episodes of the programme in 260 broadcasts. Similarly, the broadcast of ‘Hindostan Hamara’, a programme based on the epics of freedom struggle, had commenced from December 2, 2007. Under this programme, known and unknown aspects of great freedom fighters’ lives and inspirational stories of all the martyrs including those belonging to scheduled castes and schedule tribes are being broadcast every Sunday from 9.30 to 10 am from Delhi, Mumbai and Lucknow centres and during the same period on every Wednesday from Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur centres of Vividh Bharati. So far, 30 episodes have been broadcast. Swaraj Sansthan Sanchanalay is running under Department of Culture.
