Infrastructure work is being taken up by the state government in connection with construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bhopal. In this regard installation work of 135 kv sub station at Amravatkhurd by the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company at a cost of Rs. 13 crore has completed before time. The time limit was fixed at March 31, 2011. Against this, the company has completed the erection work in February 2011, before the deadline. The sub station not only will help the AIIMS but also there will be no voltage fluctuations in the nearby areas.
It is worth to mention here that the energy department was given the responsibility to erect 132 kv electricity sub station, 33/11 kv electricity sub station, transfer of high tension electric line, electricity connection for construction work, etc. for the AIIMS.The Madhya Pradesh Central Region Distribution Company has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing immediately service line and electricity connection to the AIIMS building, and electricity connection for the residential houses. Along with this, as per the directive of the state government the energy department has taken up welfare activities to the AIIMS.
Likewise, the Central Region Electricity Distribution Company Ltd Bhopal is in the process of shifting 33 kv high tension lines. After this work is completed, other works will also be taken up. The state government is providing financial assistance to all these works. An amount of Rs. 4 crore 16 lakh has already been given to the Madhya Pradesh Central Region Electricity Distribution Company.
