Betul:Sunday, April 27:The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that adequate food grains would be provided to the poor at subsidized rates to feed their families. Shri Chouhan said this while launching Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana here today.The Chief Minister said that wheat is being procured in the state which would benefit the farmers on the one hand and the poor in the state would get quality wheat produced in the state itself on the other.
The Chief Minister warned that black marketing of food grains would not be tolerated saying that anyone found indulging in this would be thrown behind bars.Shri Chouhan said that priority is being given to augment irrigation facilities in the state. Jalabhishek Abhiyan is being carried out for water conservation. He called upon the people to actively participate in this. At the same time due importance has been attached to industrialization for which all possible facilities and incentives are being provided to the industrialists. He said that new industries would be set up in Betul which would throw open employment opportunities for the youth of the district.
Presiding over the function the Minister for Revenue Shri Kamal Patel said that Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana would provide great relief to the poor who are worst affected by backbreaking price rise. Member of Parliament Shri Hemant KIhandelwal also spoke on the occasion. MLAs Shri Shivprasad Rathore, Shri Mahendra Singh Chouhan, Shri Sajjan Singh Uike and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
