Bhopal:Tuesday, August 12 :The cabinet also approved the action plans presented by subsequent companies of Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board for 11th Five-Year Plan 2007-12. These include division of feeders and scheme regarding agricultural pumps.
The action plan of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company, Jabalpur is to the tune of Rs 5200 crore. Out of this, provision of Rs 2137 crore 31 lakh would be made under the limit of 11th Five-Year Plan.
Similarly, Central Zone Power Distribution Company, Bhopal has presented an action plan to the tune of Rs 2584 crore 65 lakh. Out of this, Rs 1318 crore 37 lakh would be provided from 11th Five-Year Plan.
West Zone Power Distribution Company, Indore has presented an action plan to the tune of Rs 4342 crore 20 lakh. Out of this, Rs 1900 crore would be provided from 11th Five-Year Plan.
Similarly, East Zone Power Distribution Company, Jabalpur has presented an action plan to the tune of Rs 3630 crore 65. Out of this, Rs 1335 crore 30 lakh would be provided from 11th Five-Year Plan.
It may be mentioned that every year the state government allocates funds in its budget as part of its share capital under investment head to power transmission company for improvement and strengthening of power transmission and distribution.
In the state government budge for the year 2008-09, Rs 169 crore 40 was allocated to Madhya Pradesh Central Zone Power Transmission Company, Rs 71 crore to Madhya Pradesh Power Distribution Company, Rs 98 crore 37 lakh for Madhya Pradesh East Power Distribution Company and Rs 10 crore 72 lakh for Madhya Pradesh West Power Distribution Company.
1500 posts of forest guards to be filled with daily wagers
The cabinet has also decided to fill 1500 posts of forest guard with the daily wagers already working in the Forest Department. Out of these, five per cent posts would be reserved for the players who have taken part in district and zonal and state level competitions organised by the state government.
