Bhopal : Minister of State for Scheduled Castes Welfare and in-charge minister of Chhatarpur district Shri Harishankar Khatik has said that benefits of the State Government’s schemes should reach weaker sections of society in time. Shri Khatik was addressing a block-level Antyodaya Mela at Bada Malehra in Chhatarpur district the other day. At the fair, benefits worth Rs. 12 crore 38 lakh were distributed to 24 thousand 630 beneficiaries. Member of Parliament Shri Shivraj Singh Lodhi and MLA Smt. Rekha Yadav were also present on the occasion.
In-charge minister Shri Khatik said that constant efforts are being made to increase area under irrigation in the district. He informed that now 24 thousand hectare area has come under irrigation following completion of Kutni and Bariyarpur left canal. Shri Khatik also laid foundation stones for about Rs. 1.50 crore development works on the occasion.
