Information about 74 thousand Anganwadi centres out of the total 78 thousand 929 Angwanwadi centres engaged in providing nutritional meals to 80 lakh beneficiaries in the State has been uploaded on departmental website. Now, a vigil can be kept on the activities of all Angwanwadi centres through the mobile phones. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Woman and Child Development Smt. Ranjna Baghel informed this at a state level meeting held to review departmental activities here today. Principal Secretary Shri B. R. Naidu, Director Shri Anupam Rajan and Atal Ball Mission Director Shri D.D. Agrawal also attended the meeting.Smt. Baghel instructed that all the Anganwadi centres should open on time. Apart from monitoring Anganwadi centres, the project officers and supervisors should review activities in their respective areas. She said that it should be ensured that expectant mothers get ‘take home ration’. Cent percent work should be done at grass root level. During the door to door visit, it should be ensured whether beneficiaries received ‘take home ration’ or not. The districts, which executed 90 to 95 percent works under the project, should achieve 100 percent target. Steps are being taken to provide adequate staff to carry out works under Atal Bal Mission and Ladli Laxmi Yojna.
The Minister said that the malnourished children should be followed up after receiving proper treatment at rehabilitation centres. Ensure that children should be healthy. She instructed that the Angwadi workers who are not performing well should be removed forthwith by serving notice. Smt. Baghel instructed the officials to give final shape to the preparations of ‘Beti Bachaon Abhiyan’. She asked to fill vacant posts of Anganwadi workers or make alternate arrangements. She said that cooperation should be sought from other departments and district administrations apart from public to implement Atal Bal Mitra Yojna.
Principal Secretary Shri B.R. Naidu issued directives to carry out work actively for the implementation of Atal Bal Mission. The officers should take stock of nutritional meal arrangements and condition of Anganwadi centres by visiting project areas. Director Shri Anupam Rajan asked all the districts to chalk out strategy of Atal Bal Mission expeditiously. The Districts where cases of Ladli Laxmi are lying pending should soon be disposed of. He said that the Mission would meet the objectives only if there is proper implementation of Integrated Child Development Project.
Compliance report of 2010-11, Atal Bal Mission, Ladli Laxmi scheme, vacant posts at Anganwadi centrs, online entry of M.P.R, Anganwadi coverage, take home ration, community kitchen, nutritional meals distribution arrangements, construction of Aganwadi centres, Usha Kiran scheme, Integrated Child Development Scheme were reviewed district wise at the meeting. Additional director, divisional joint directors and officers of districts were present.
