Nov 13 : Kerala Government is planning to bring in a legislation for the security of employees working in the IT sector. Talking to newspersons after a meeting with IT industry leaders in Thiruvananthapuram in a bid to find a solution to the problems faced by the sector, the Chief Minister, Mr. V.S. Achuthanandan said his Government would constitute a special committee to study them.
He said the committee would comprise representatives from the Government and the IT sector in the state. It would submit its report in a month. Mr. Achuthanandan said the State Government would take all steps to sort out the problems being faced by the sector in the wake of global economic meltdown after receiving the report.
The meeting was held in the wake of termination of services of some employees in Technopark at Thiruvananthapuram.
