July 26 :In Bangalore, a live bomb kept in a cement flowerpot near a shopping mall in posh Koramangla area was defused on Saturday as police launched a manhunt for a youth seen placing the object. This comes, a day after the IT capital was rocked by serial blasts killing 2 persons and injuring 12.
The explosive with a microchip, detonator and ammonium nitrate mixed with some oil was defused by the bomb disposal squad.Police Commissioner S Bidari told reporters that a person, in his early 20s, wearing red T-shirt kept the grey-shaped object in front of Hyderabad House on the Bangalore-Hosur Road.
Police swung into action after word spread that a bucket-shaped object was kept this morning on the footpath near ‘Forum Mall’ by an unidentified man. He reportedly fled the scene after placing it. Courtsey DD NEWS
