Srinagar, March 26 (INFO)- To Promote agriculture in rain-fed (Keerwa) land, one day training programme was organized by Agriculture department at Lalmandi,
Srinagar, Under National Watershed Development Programme. Agriculture experts, senior officers and village watershed development committees of various projects in Srinagar and Ganderbal districts attended the programme.
The experts laid stress on conservation of rain water, augmentation of biomass production through agro and farm forestry with active involvement of farmers, Technical know-how to increase production of various crops in these areas also came up for discussion. During the current year, Rs 11 lakhs have been allocated for the purpose and works are going on.
