A high power delegation of BJP comprising of State General Secretary Bali Bhagat and Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) met with the Divisional Commissioner and express their regiment over the registration of false cases against their workers who were demonstrating in a peaceful manner in Kishtwar. The demonstration was with respect to the demand for repairing the damage cause to a prestigious temple at Kishtwar by border road organization.
The people of the locality led by former Distt. President BJP Brij Mohan, Senior leader of Kishtwar Sunil Kumar were holding peaceful demonstration to pressurize their demands.
That instead of solving their genuine demand the local authorities of administration and 2IC of BRO misbehave resulting into reaction among the demonstrators. That a false and frivolous case has been registered against them.
That the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sudhanshu Pandey assured the delegation that no harassment will be done to the above said leaders and demand will be also considered sympathetically it appears to be genuine. They further expressed the callous attitude of police for not producing challan in Ujla Devi case by police of Doda. In a case registered at police station, Thatri under the direction of Hon’ble High Court under section-376 and 302 RPC and they demanded that senior official of the police are trying to shield the culprits which cannot be allowed. The Divisional Commissioner assured that immediate steps will be taken to redress this demand also.
