To pay tributes to its senior leader & former MLA Lala Shiv Charan Gupta, State BJP today organized a "Shradhanjali Sabha" at Jammu in which various political
and social personalities remembered the struggle full life of Lala ji and his concern for the masses.In their tributes, the speakers described him as a totally committed and honest person who never compromised on the principles and ideology of the party and worked throughout his life to strengthen the nationalist forces in the state and raised voice against discriminatory policies towards Jammu.
In the demise of Lala ji, we have lost a revolutionary leader and the vacuum caused by his death can not be filled, said the BJP leaders on this occasion. They said that the life of Lala Shiv charan Gupta will serve to be a source of inspiration to the generations to come. They cited a number of incidents related to Lala ji and the courage with which Lala ji faced sad and happy moments in life. Dr. Om Parkash Mengi, Capt. Dewan Singh and Rishi Kumar Koushal who could not attend the condolence meeting had sent their messages of deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Lala Shiv Charan Gupta.
