31 Oct : Jammu, October 30: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Professor Amitabh Mattoo today visited "Old Age Home" at Amphalla Jammu and interacted with the inmates.
The programme was organized by Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA).Prof. Amitabh Mattoo was the Chief Guest while as Prof. G.S. Sambyal (Registrar) was Guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Professor Amitabh Mattoo said that the the importance of these old age home is that these center provides special attention to the needy senior citizens by means of special medical attention and fully equipped libraries with the help of its dedicated social workers. "These Old Age Homes should be aimed to improve the health conditions, mental stability and to gain self confidence among the inmates by organizing Yoga programs held by the various renowned persons," Professor Mattoo said further appreciating the initiative of the members of JURSEA for taking up the campaign which includes various social activities and provision of support to old age people and orphans.
President of JURSEA Vikas Sharma welcomed the chief Guest and others by presenting Shwla.
Prominent figures present there include Prof. J P Singh Joorel (HOD Statistics), Prof. P.S. Pathania (Controller of Examination), Prof. Naresh padha (chief librarian) and Prof. D.S. Bhau (DSW), Anuradha Goswami (Chairperson JURSEA), Kamaldeep Singh (Spokesman JURSEA), Kuldeep Kumar, Ankush, Ankit Bakshi, Vikas, Vikram Singh, Munish Gandotra., Jasvinder Singh, lovely, Nishu, and others were especially present.
