RS Pura, Jammu, Nov 25 : Terming Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Sher Shah Suri of modern times, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has said that Mufti’s name will be written in history for his vibrant approach and outstanding development during his regime.
Addressing people and other party workers of PDP at Jeora Farm area in RS Pura, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that 5 years regime of Sher Shah Suri- the founder of Sur Empire in North India was historic period of history and on the same pattern Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be known for his developmental approach. He said that Sher Shah was had set up such a fine administration that the great Mughal king Akbar retained most of it, and Sher Shah’s administrative set up was largely how the Mughal empire’s administration remained for a long time.
Zulfkar said that the period of 1540 to 1545 in India was historic similar to the period of 2002-2005. He said that Suri improved communications by building many high roads which linked up he different parts if his empire. Either it is Grand Trunk road, postal system, construction of Guest Houses and other establishments, Suri had developed India just in 5 years and set an example for Mughals and rulers after him. Zulfkar said that in the similar way Mufti’s previous term is a model period and base for the rulers in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that Mufti’s regime will be known in history of Jammu and Kashmir like Sher Shah Suri’s period in India.
He reminded that during its tenure the PDP led regime had proved its capability of changing life of the common masses by treating all individual equally and providing equal opportunities to all sections of the society. He said that although they had just 16 members in the Assembly, they provided good governance to the people by streamlining functioning of all the wings of the government. He said that it was only during the PDP led regime that governance consciousness was generated in the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the common masses had a taste of good governance.
He added that PDP led regime had brought transparency and accountability in the governance by strengthening democratic institutions in the state. He especially mentioned that during PDP led regime more than 80,000 youth were appointed as teachers under Rebar-e-Talim (ReT) scheme and more than 30,000 Anganwari workers were also appointed.
Expressing satisfaction over the present regime, Zulfkar said that they have to beat the record of the 2002-2005 regime and for this all workers and leaders of PDP must work hard and strengthened the hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Thanking people of RS Pura for always supporting PDP, Zulfkar said that it was in 1983 when people of RS believed on the personality of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and elected him for J&K Assembly and Mufti has never forgotten this. He said that the area remained on the top priority of Mufti. He added that Mufti want to develop RS Pura on modern lines and it need the support of the people of this area. He said that present government is very particular on the miseries of border residents and their intere4sts are being taken care of.
Meanwhile Zulfkar has said that border tourism can boost the economic condition of the people living in the area as they have lost much in the wars. He said that borders need to be made irrelevant and Chief Minister has also done a lot in this regard in past. He added that there is dire need to boost economy of the border and LoC residents and border tourism can become fruitful in this regard.
