Bhaderwah, April 23: Chief Minister Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad today visited Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu to take stock of the ongoing construction work at Sungli Bhaderwah in Bhaderwah.Accompanied by the Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof. Amitabh Mattoo and Managing Director (MD) Police Housing Corporation, Mr Rajan Bakshi, Chief Minister arrived here early in the morning and took stock of the situation.
The Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad while taking stock of the ongoing construction work at Bhaderwah Campus asked the Police Housing Corporation to speed up the construction work so that the Classes are shifted to the upcoming campus, Sungli, Bhaderwah from the rented accommodation.Chief Minister directed the officials and engineers of Police Housing Corporation to increase the manpower so that the construction work may be completed before May, 10.2008.
Prof. Amitabh Mattoo Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu while briefing the chief minister about the ongoing construction of the state of the art campus at Sungli and apprised the Chief Minister about the decision taken by the Jammu University to make Bhaderwah Campus one of the premier institutions of higher learning.
Prof. Amitabh Mattoo said that soon after the Campus is shifted from the rented accommodation to Sungli, Bhaderwah, the University will start more and more job oriented courses. "We have already started MBA and MCA courses in Bhaderwah campus and the first batch of MBA is likely to come out and ready to join the real world of professionals in the corporate sector," Prof. Mattoo said and added that more job-oriented courses will be started in the Campus from next session.
Before leaving for Jammu Prof. Amitabh Mattoo discussed the final arrangements to be made for the inauguration of the Campus with Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof. I.A.Hamal, Dr. Daud Iqbal, Deptuty Coordinator, Campuses and staff of the Bhaderwah Campus
