JAMMU, Apr 10 (TNI): Amritsar based Amandeep Hospital- largest in Punjab for accident victims’ Bone joints and plastic surgery, and the Time of India in collaboration with the Traffic Police, Jammu organized one day basic ‘First Aid Training and Workshop’ at Jammu Club, today.
Critical care expert from Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar Dr Pankaj Soni gave an audio/video presentation on First Aid, volunteers programming and awareness on traffic management.
Medical Director, Amandeep Hospital Dr Amandeep Kaur said that prevent the condition from getting worse is most important, this covers both external factors, such as applying first aid techniques to prevent worsening of condition.
After the theory session, a First aid workshop was organized, where all the 180 participants tried their hands on models, which included Traffic Police personal, those from University of Jammu, executives from Print/Electronic media, telecom companies, NGO,s from Kishtwar, Rajouri and Anantnag and multinational industrial houses from Samba and Kathua.
Amandeep Hospital already organized such types of workshops in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh with Highway Police, educational institutes, NGO, s.
This is very first of its kind in J&K.
Relationship Manger J&K Manish Manocha said that Amandeep hospital gives scholarships to poor patients besides helping them in their complete rehabilitation.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Zahid Naseem Manhas, Dr Pankaj Soni, and Vashav from The Times of India.
