Amit Sharma ,Rajouri :As per sources, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Rajouri-Poonch Range was on his way to Poonch from Rajouri early in the morning. As their vehicles reached in Doondak area of Surankote at 8:53 am, a police gypsy bearing registration number Jk11- 3419 collided head on with a private tavera vehicle coming from Poonch towards Rajouri.
Soon after receiving the information police and health teams from Surankote moved spot from where all the eight injureds were rushed to local hospital who include five cops and three civilians including two ladies. After initial treatment four injureds including three cops and one civilian were declared critical and were then shifted to GMC&H Jammu while rest injureds are under treatment in Surankote and Rajouri. The cops who are injured in the collision have been identified as Rakesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Paramdev Singh, Mohd. Asgar, Satnam Singh while three civilians travelling in tavera vehicle who have sustained injuries have been identified as Surjit Singh, Manjeet Kour and Pardeep Kour all residents of Poonch.
