The Himachal Pradesh government has launched a web portal providing the farming community with relevant information pertaining to agriculture and its related activities. The web portal ‘AGRISNET’ will provide easy access to the farmers to sustainable data bank of all the agriculture inputs in the state via a secured network, an official spokesman said.
AGRISNET is a mission mode project under national e-governance plan for strengthening and promoting agriculture activities in the state. The portal provides the end users with the ability to access services through an online forum containing information related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries department.The farming community can access this web portal by logging on to website www.hpagrisnet.gov.in through 2,664 Lok Mitra Kendras set up at the panchayat-level. Information regarding recommended varieties of crops, soil, seed rate, fertilizers doses, weed control measures, pests and diseases are uploaded in advance in the portal.
