Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that pace of development would be expedited in the State and appealed the truck operators of all industrial
areas to cooperate by following the guidelines laid down by the State Government for truck operators of the areas. He was addressing the Nalagarh Truck Operator Union at Nalagarh today.
Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to facilitate the truck operators in efficient functioning and added that Baddi Check Post was being improved to accommodate the increased pressure of heavy and allied vehicles operating in the area. He assured better roads and other facilities to cater to the requirements of the truck operators. He said that all issues raised with Punjab Government would facilitate the truck and taxi operators in both States.
Prof. Dhumal said that free traveling facilities on Bhaiya Dooj and Raksha Bandhan was an endeavour towards facilitating women in the State. He said that State Government had also decided to provide 50 percent reservation to women in PRIs.
He assured rationalization in the tax system related to the transport sector. He said that upcoming transport nagar would deliver better facilities and added that TCP would function towards the betterment of the people of the area. He said that all damaged bridges would be reconstructed on priority and better road condition would be maintained in the industrial area.
Shri Gyan Singh, President, Nalagarh Truck Operator Union welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed out the activities of the Union. He and other office bearers of the Union presented a draft of Rs. 5 lacs as contribution towards Chief Minister Relief Fund.
