Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that State Government would consider issuance of Himachali certificates to industrialists who meet the qualifying parameters for the same and added that Parwanoo-Barotiwala road would be given priority besides strengthening Baddi-Barotiwala- Nalagarh Development Authority.
He said that Drug Control Authority office would be opened near industrial area and PWD division would be strengthened besides positioning SE HPSEB Circle near industrial area. He said that setting up of medical college in the area would be also considered. He was addressing Interacting Meeting jointly organized by Baddi-Barotiwala- Nalagarh Industrial association and Confederation of Indian Industry in Association with State Government and Baddi-Barotiwala- Nalagarh Development Authority at Baddi in district Solan today.
Chief Minister said that State Government was committed to strengthen industrial infrastructure in entire State and facilitate the industrialists with all possible help. He said that State Government would consider domestic charges for the housing units constructed in industrial areas for industrial workers. He said that efforts would be made to maintain regular contact with industrialists through regular meetings.
He said that industrial sector was contributing significantly towards State GDP and economic activities. He said that positive attitude was required for strengthening mutual understanding. He said that State would take up all industrial problems with GOI at appropriate level. He said that need had surfaced to strive for self reliance.
Chief Minister said that State Government was against any middleman or agency since it believed in direct contact with affected parties. He said that Government was according priority to redress public grievances at all levels and added that his office would monitor the redressal process. He said that action would be taken against officers not complying to Government orders.
Chief Minister said that Government was open to opening of Medical College and Speciality Hospital in the industrial area and added that efforts would be made to open public schools and centres of par excellence to cater to quality education needs of industrial work force. He said that State Government had always maintained cordial relation with industrial houses and accorded top priority to resolve their problems.
Prof. Dhumal thanked the representatives of various organizations of commerce and industry for their valuable suggestions, which would be examined by concerned authorities, and necessary action would be taken to provide relief. He said that interactive session with industrial organizations had been fruitful since all heads of concerned departments were present in the meeting and satisfactory replies were given to queries raised by members of the industries. He said that State Government would be considerate towards the genuine difficulties of the industrialists.
