Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that 200 bigha land had been acquired for development of Transport Nagar on BOT in industrial area and added that 210 metre long Sarsa double laned bridge would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 8 crore. He urged the people to change mindsets and cooperate with the State Government in order to share the social responsibilities to make the State, a role model besides prosperous and self reliant in all respects. He was addressing an impressive public meeting at Nalagarh in district Solan today.
Chief Minister dedicated the students hostel building completed at a cost of Rs. 116 lacs to the students of Government Postgraduate Degree College, Nalagarh. He also dedicated bridge over Deoli khad completed at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore to the people of the area and laid foundation stone of motorable bridge over Chikni khad estimated to cost Rs. 1.65 crore.
Prof. Dhumal said that district administration had been directed to start the development work of the Transport Nagar for the transporters of the industrial areas so that efficient transportation facilities were available. He advised the truck owners to maintain cordial relations with the industrialists.
He said that he visited the industrial area of Baddi-Barotiwala and Nalagarh and interacted with the industrialists to know their genuine problems. He said that a team of senior officers accompanied him who responded to the queries raised by entrepreneurs of the area. He said that the practice had brought back confidence among the entrepreneurs and an honest effort would be made to resolve their problems on priority. He said that State Government was committed to create quality infrastructure and develop industrial areas in a planned manner so that all basic amenities were made available.
Chief Minister thanked the people especially the organizers of various functions to honour the announcements of the State Government not to spend unnecessarily on the flowers, decoration and gifts instead to donate the same towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund which was a source of providing financial assistance to the poor and needy in their hour of distress.
Prof. Dhumal said that need had emerged to change the mindset of people and encourage them to shoulder social responsibilities with the State Government. He said that mass awareness would help in communal and social harmony and make the society progressive. He said that State would develop only when there was active public private participation in welfare activities. He said that State was the joint responsibility of every citizen and needed to be taken up in right perspective.
He said that Rs. 16.41 crore Panjara road and bridge work would be started on priority and Nalagarh-Ramshahar-Jubbarhatti-Tara Devi would be posed for declaration of national highway. He thanked Ambuja Cements for offering new building at Government Senior Secondary School and Diagnostic Centre at Nalagarh. He also thanked Vardhaman for donating Rs. 10 lacs for College Hostel furniture. He emphasized the need to check prices of essential commodities and assured more tubewells for irrigation in farm land.
Chief Minister was presented a bank draft of Rs. 51,000 by Shri Ajit Pal Singh, a social worker, Rs. 51,000 by Shri Jai Singh Kashyap of Nalagarh, Rs. 21,000 by Shri Vijay Kumar of Baruna Gram Panchayat, Rs. 11000 by Shri Roop Narayan, BJP Beopar Cell Nalagarh, Rs. 11,000 by Shri Sanjeev Puri, President, Local NGOs Federation, Rs. 11,000 by Shri Nirmal Singh of Nalagarh as contribution towards Chief Minister Relief Fund for which Chief Minister thanked.
Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Health Minister said that landmark decisions had been taken by Prof. Dhumal during last 75 days and added that social security pension was enhanced for second time during the tenure of Prof. Dhumal as Chief Minister. He said that humble beginning had been made in improvement of Inter-States relations and majority of issues would be resolved with the Punjab Government. He said that solid foundation had been laid for accelerated development.
Shri Hari Narayan Singh Saini, local MLA and President, Solan District BJP said that record number of tubewells were sanctioned and bored during earlier tenure of Prof. Dhumal, 16 bridges were constructed and road conditions were improved. He thanked for considering demand of Parwanoo Baddi direct road link.
Smt. Vinod Chandel, MLA Doon said that record development was on anvil and thanked for opening one ESI hospital for industrial area. She apprised Chief Minister of various developmental requirements of her segment.Shri Inder Singh, President, BJP Nalagarh Mandal welcomed the Chief Minister.
