Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister today dedicated PHC building at Tihra in Sarkaghat Sub Division of district Mandi constructed at a cost of Rs. 29.56 lacs benefiting 12 gram panchayats of the area.Addressing a public meeting at Tihra, Chief Minister said that Rohru and Ani assembly segments of the State
have been sanctioned maximum budgetary provisions for developmental activities. He said that police recruitment would be carried out district wise and in proportion to population of the State to give fair representation to youth of the districts of the State. He said that Jungalberi Battalion of H.P. Police would be reverted back to the same place and quality infrastructure would be created.
Chief Minister said that he had succeeded in convincing Union Home Ministry and got three IRBs sanctioned for the State generating employment to about 3500 youth. He said that 26000 vacancies were likely to be filled up during next financial year, which included 18000 teachers, 1071 women health workers, 250 doctors, 1000 nurses and other categories of workers in different government departments.
Prof. Dhumal said that self employment, prosperity and self reliance were the new additions in the priority agenda of roads, education and health. He said that Himachal Pradesh was a land of warriors and brave soldiers have shown their valour and won two out of four Param Vir Chakras in Kargil Operation. He said that State had vast natural potential which on scientific exploitation would generate vast income to the State exchequer. He said that State would put in best efforts to get the hydro electric rehabilitation plan implemented and settle the oustees. He said that it had happened due to the negligent attitude of other party governments in the State.
Chief Minister assured construction of all proposed projects under different schemes on priority and to consider the demand of opening a tehsil at Tihra and added that PHC Tihra would be provided all medical equipments to cater to health requirements of the people of the area. He said that every health institution would be provided functional staff soon and Kandapattan-Sajao-Piplu LWSS would be completed on priority.
Staff and school children of Devdhar Public School presented the Chief Minister, a draft of Rs. 2100, Rs. 51000 by Prakash Chand Construction as contribution towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Shri Mahender Singh Thakur, local MLA and former Minister welcomed Chief Minister. He said that pace of development had gained momentum with Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal coming back to power in the State and added that efforts were afoot to emotionally integrate the State and ensure development and welfare of every section. He urged posing Tihra-Sakoh-Lambri-Bakar khad road under NABARD, Neun Galu-Nalyana-Bakar khad under PMGSY, Marhi-Kamlah-Tihra road for tourism promotion. He urged inclusion of local PHC of Chorthla and Tihra in NRHM and completion of Awahdevi-Kandapattan LWSS and Palchan-Barot WSS.
