Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, paid tributes to late Thakur Ram Singh today in ‘Shradhanjli Samaroh’ organized at Thakur Jagdev Chand Memorial Research Centre at Neri near Hamirpur, after he offered flowers at the portrait of former intellectual and philosopher late Shri Ram Singh Thakur, who passed away on 6th September, 2010 evening at Ludhiana.
Prof Dhumal said that Shri Thakur was son of the soil who dedicated his life for the nation and spread the message of goodwill and harmony through-out of the country. He said that late Shri Thakur dedicated his life to undivided strong India for which he worked through-out his life he lived. He said that late Shri Thakur was a strong advocate of social harmony.
Chief Minister said that real tribute to late Shri Thakur would be to follow the path shown by him to the society and the people who had come in contact with him. He said that late Shri Thakur would be remembered by people from all walks of life for a long time to come. Eminent persons assembled from different parts of the country, who had been associated with late Shri Ram Singh Thakur, also paid tributes to the departed soul.
