Y.S. RANA, Chandigarh– May 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal on Tuesday ordered a vigilance inquiry into the allotment of industrial plots by Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Industrial Estate, Panchkula in December 2011 allegedly undeserving candidates. These plots ranging from 496 square metres to 1,280 square metres were allegedly allotted to the candidates who were either relatives of the then Chief Minister or those of his close associates and friends.
It may be recalled that during the recent assembly session, while replying to a question on the issue on March 20,2015, the Industries Minister Capt. Abhimanyu had said that there were some question marks about the genuineness of the candidates who have been allotted industrial plots. The issue was pending in the court. Therefore, the state government would abide by the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. However, it was also assured to the members of the House that the state government would get the matter investigated because the government also felt that the entire matter needed to be investigated.
The beneficiaries included Mrs Renu Hooda, wife of late Mr Rajender Hooda, resident of House No. 37, Sector 28-A, Chandigarh. She is the wife of real nephew of Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mrs Nandita Hooda, wife of Mr Narender Hooda, House No. 210, Sector 11, Chandigarh. Mr Narender Hooda was posted as Senior Additional Advocate General, Haryana. She is also the benami ‘owner’ of ‘Golden Tulip Hotel’ on Panchkula-Morni road, the ownership of which actually rests with Mrs Asha Hooda, wife of the then Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mrs Mona Beri of House No. 1044, Sector 11, Panchkula, the daughter-in-law of Mr B. R. Beri, Officer on Special Duty to the then Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mr Pardeep Kumar, son of Mr Singh Ram, House No. 509, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh. Mr Singh Ram was posted as Secretary to the then Chief Minister, Haryana. Mr Kanwar Preet Singh Sandhu, 390, Char Chaman, Kunjpura Road, Karnal. Mr Kanwar is a family member of Lt. General (Retd.) D.D.S. Sandhu, who is Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Mr Dagar Katyal, House No. 216-L, Model Town, Rohtak, who is a family member of Mr Sunil Katyal, son of Mr Wadhaya Ram Katyal, who was then serving as Senior Deputy Advocate General, Haryana. Dr Ganesh Dutt Ratan, House No. 1104, Sector 33-C, Chandigarh, a Consultant with Fortis Hospital, Mohali and running a private clinic at his residence. He is a close friend of former Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Aman Gupta, who is son of Mr Ramesh Gupta, Ex-MLA Congress from Thanesar. Lt. Col. O. P. Dahiya (Retd.), House No. 261, Sector 35-A, Chandigarh. Col. Dahiya is a brother-in-law of Col. Deshwal, a relative of Mr Karan Singh Dalal, former MLA, Palwal. The elder son of Mr Dalal is married to the niece of former Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. M/s YPT Entertainment House Pvt. Mr Prabhjeet Singh was posted as Additional Advocate General, Haryana.
It may be recalled that the issue was highlighted by media and the present government had also received several complaints drawing its attention towards irregularities committed in allotment of industrial plots, including the charge-sheet submitted by Indian National Lok Dal to the Governor.
