Hisar, Sept 28 – Three independent candidates, who had filed their nomination papers to contest bye-election to Hisar Parliamentary Constituency, today withdrew their names thus reducing the number of contesting candidates to 45.
These three included Kuldeep, son of Mahender Singh, Jai Singh, son of Shri Chand and Pawan, son of Hari Singh. The last date to withdraw names is September 29.
Now those left in the fray included three candidates of recognized national and state political parties, seven candidates of registered political parties, other than recognized national and state political parties, and 35 independents. According to the Returning Officer, Hisar, the list of validly nominated candidates of recognized national and state political parties included Ajay Singh of Indian National Lok Dal, Kuldeep Bishnoi of Haryana Janhit Congress(BL) and Jai Parkash of Indian National Congress.
Those of other registered political parties are Anil of Lok Jan Shakti Party, Om Parkash of Bharatiya Sant Mat Party, Deepak Gupta of Smast Bharatiya Party, Duli Chand of Lok Parivartan Party(DC), Ram Jas of Dalit Kranti Dal, Virender of Republican Backward Congress and Sudesh Kumar Aggarwal of Smast Bharatiya Party.
The independents included Anil Kumar, Anoop Singh, Atam Parkash, Om Parkash, Karamvir, Kuldeep Malik, Krishan, Jagpal, Jeet Singh, Dariya Singh, Sant Dharamvir Chotiwala, Narender Nath, Naveen Kumar, Pardeep Singh, Baljit, Mahender Singh, Ranjit Singh, Raj Kumar, Rajesh Kumar Jindal, Ram Niwas, Lachhman Dass, Ved Parkash, Sher Singh, Satbir, Surajmal, Surjeet Singh, Sushil Nidhi, Sushila Devi, Hava Singh, four candidates named as Kuldeep and two as Ved Pal.
