Chandigarh November 5: As part of the zero tolerance to corruption, the Haryana Government has, on the reports submitted by State Vigilance Bureau suspended seven officers and officials of Irrigation Department for various irregularities in preparing bills and using substandard material in flood protection works of Tajewala Complex under Hathnikund Barrage Circle in district Yamunanagar. Also, action would be taken as per the service rules against six officers of the department who have retired from the service. The cost of work was over Rs. 31crore which was allotted in the year 2010-11
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that those who have been suspended included Executive Engineering (XEN) R.K. Bhoria, Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) Chaman Lal Gupta, Junior Engineers namely Rakesh Kamboj, Satpal Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Ved Pal and Jasbir Singh.
He said that similarly, those officers against whom action would be taken post retirement included Chief Engineer (CE) Rajinder Singh, Superintendent Engineer (SE) Balbir Singh, Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) Attar Singh and Junior Engineers (JEs) namely Yogesh Bhardwaj, M.L Sharma and Rajender Sing
