Chandigarh February 20: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda today approved the Haryana Police Amendment Bill-2013 under which a State Level Police Recruitment Board and District Level Police Recruitment Committees would be constituted.
The direct recruitment to various ranks in the police services would be made through a State Level Police Recruitment Board or District Level Police Recruitment Boards by transparent Process. The objectives of the provision is to enable the Government to make up the work or the recruitment systematically without resorting to adhoc recruitment, to carry out recruitment objectively with greater uniformity and to evolve standardize procedure open to progressive improvement.
A State Level Police Recruitment Board having seven members including the Chairman to be constituted and notified as per the provisions of the Haryana Police Act, 2007.
The Government would constitute District Recruitment Committees in various districts to be notified to enable greater facilitation and efficiency in the recruitment process. Each Committee would be headed by a member of State Level Police Recruitment Board.
