In the Railway Budget 2013-14, Rail Minister Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal on Tuseday while presenting his maiden rail budget made a huge announcement that will touch the life of the people of Rohtak. It has been announced that Rewari-Rohtak new line will extend up to Makrauli – acting as a Railway bye-pass for the city of Rohtak as the Rohtak – Panipat line will be shifter out of the city. Rohtak to become one of the first towns to have such decongestion line. This impossible task has only been made possible with the efforts of our young and energetic Member of Parliament Shri Deepender Singh Hooda. It is only because of his efforts that this proposal has been sanctioned. We will always be grateful to our great leader Shri Deepender Singh Hooda for his valiant efforts. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.160 crores. Once the railway line is shifted from the city, a road will be constructed which would immensely help the residents of Rohtak and improve the areas touching the railway line. The connectivity to the Gandhi Camp Area in the city stands to benefit substantially.
