Chandigarh, July 23: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has asked the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh government to resign for the alleged malpractices adopted to secure the majority in Parliament trust motion.
INLD Secretary General & Member of Parliament, Mr Ajay Singh Chautala said that dubious & questionable tactics adopted by Dr Manmohan Singh government during the last ten days have put the entire country to shame. The incidents have put a bad name to the country, he added.
INLD leader said that the much reported ‘deal’ incidents and the alleged involvement of Prime Minister Office, UPA chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi and various UPA chief ministers and the related ‘cash for abstaining’ incident has exposed the behind the scene game of UPA to win the trust motion in Parliament. The alleged offer of Rupees three crore each to BJP MPs for abstaining has the key to understand the mystery behind the abstaining & cross voting by many opposition MPs, he added.
INLD MP has asked for through enquiry in to the whole incident of offer of money in lieu of abstaining on the trust motion. UPA should have remembered that Parliament is temple of democracy and India’s democracy is highly respected world wide, he further added. He said that by all that manoeuvrings UPA government could have won the trust motion in Parliament but has lost the trust of the people of the country. UPA has lost all the moral right to continue in government, he further added.
