Madhup Yadav,Panchkula, 4 November.:Chennai superstars defeated by Royal Bengali tigers by 9 wickets. In the tight battle b/w of the Royal Bengal Tigers and Chennai Superstars in 30’th match of the ICL 20s Indian Championship held at Panchkula. Both the rival teams shown their great cricket. Royal Bengal Tigers’ Hamish Marshall scored 80 runs being not out and brings victory for their team. Hamish Marshall was also declared man of the match for his sparkling knock of 80 runs being not out.Chennai superstar’s captain Stuart law won the toss and elected to bat. Due to absence of their regular opener Ian Harvey, Vignesh & Hemanth opened the match in his absence and looses their wicket in 2’nd over. Vignesh showed some delightful strokes with his aggressive playing of strokes over the ground. After 5 overs, Chennai Superstars were 30/2. The Bengal bowlers took some big wickets and showed their performance. At such crucial stage of middle innings, Badani and Sathish’s company have great partnership for the 5th wicket. Finally, their brilliant 90 runs artnershi was ended by the Eklak Ahmid. Badani brought his third ICL fifty in 40 balls.
Later, Sathish made his half century only off 25 balls and hits 3 sixes and 5 boundaries. When Chennai were trying to made some big target then Upul Chandana strucks back three wickets by giving only a single run and ended his spell with 4/38. In first eventful session both teams showed their brilliant performance and Chennai Superstars set a competitive target of 162 runs for Royal Bengal Tigers. For the Royal Bengal Tigers Chandana & Eklak Ahmid picked up four & three wickets respectively.
