PANCHKULA, NOV 29 :Gul Walia of Class VIII and Pranshu Singh of Class IX were declared the best players among girls and boys, respectively, in the Sports Day of Holy Child School here today. They were presented trophies by Principal Neena Trehan.
A big attraction of the Founders’ Week was the Sports Day of Classes 5 to 10 with a number of children beaming with happiness as they receive their medals and trophies.
In the 100 metres race Prateek Aggarwal and Abha Sharma emerged the fastest runners among boys and girls in Class V. In Class VI Aditya Kumar and Mrinalini Chauhan won the 100 metres race while Class-7 Harsheen Singh and Samriti Ahuja stood first in 100 metres dash for Class IX. Shubham Chandaran and Gul Walia won gold medal in 100 metres race for boys and girls in Class IX. Shivam Mittu and Arunjeet Gosal claimed the top honours in 100 metres for boys and girls in Class IX. Avinash Yadav and Natalya Thakur stole show for boys and girls, respectively., in 100 metres race for class X.
In the 200 metres race Saksham Khanna and Abha Sharma stood first in Class-5. In Class-6 Aditya Kumar and Mrinalini Chauhan, Class-7 Anshul Yadav and Smriti Ahuja, Class-8 Shubham Chandran and Gul Walia, Class-9 Pranshu Singh and Arunjeet Gosal and Class-10 Avinash Yadav and Natalya Thakur.
In relay race for seniors, Altair House bagged the first prize boys (Avinash Yadav, Amit Garg, Parmeet Singh and Nakul) as well as girls (Gul Walia, Natalya Thakur, Jasreen Kaur and Smriti Ahuja).
In the boys relay race for juniors, Altair House (hubham Dhingra, Nikhil Yadav and Anshul Yadav) bagged the first prize. Vega House (Manisha Pun, Neha Birdi and Amrita Nain) were first in the girls relay race.
