Chandigarh, 25 Sept. Organised on the 100th birth anniversary of former deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal, the INLD’s Jind rally today showed the mood of the public for Haryana assembly polls as the rally become the highest ever attended rally by the general public in the political history of Haryana.
The biggest moment of the rally was INLD chief Om Parkash Chautala’s address who said that the success of this rally has put a stamp that INLD is set to get power in Haryana by bagging more than 65 seats.
Several political bigwigs such as Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, JD(S) chief and former PM HD Deve Gowda, JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav, former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also attended the rally. Earlier, in his address to the rally, Om Parkash Chautala announced that contrary to the rumours spread by the opposition parties, there was no chances of hung assembly after polls and the INLD would single handedly make the government by routing the corruption and personal vendetta ridden Bhupinder Singh Hooda led state government.
“Even as Hooda hatched a conspriracy to stop INLD chances to get the powers in state by sending me in the jail but this strategy of Hooda has backfired for the Congress and the attendance of this rally has expressed that whatever Hooda has done to the INLD top leadership was to get political scores. Since we were sent into jails for the political vendetta, public of Haryana is now eager to take that revenge from Hooda and his party,” said the INLD Supremo.
Upbeat over the success of the rally Shri Chautala said that it doesn’t matter whether I contest elections or not, but one thing is for sure, I will take oath as Haryana CM. He also said that he was not afraid to go to jail. He said the family of his father, former deputy prime minister Devi Lal, was used to giving sacrifices and he was ready to living in jail as well as he did not sin by giving jobs to the youth of Haryana. “If giving jobs to the poor and needy educated youth on merit is a crime, I will do more such crimes in future as well. For such cases, not only jails I was ready to face any consequences. But the reality is Hooda sent me to jails as he was facing fear that INLD would come to power in Haryana,” said Chautala.
He appealed the party workers to get united for the assembly polls to take revenge from Hooda and work dedicatly to ensure INLD win from the state. “Its not the MLA candidates who are fighting the polls. The workers should take it as the entire party is contesting the polls. Those leaders who have not been given party tickets would be adjusted by giving posts after party forms the government in Haryana,” Chautala declared.
Former Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar while targeting the BJP said that the saffron party has duped the public of the entire country after forming the government at the centre. “The BJP has kept big promises to the voters and has allured them to vote for them by giving number of slogans. But its unfortunate that all those promises proved mere political stunts as the party even as got full majority at the Centre but failed to provide any relief to the common man, be it the rising prices of every commodity or the other isssues,.
Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal said that the it was an historical rally and he has never seen such a big rally in his political carrier. “Making INLD government in Haryana should be the dream of every worker now and that would be the biggest revenge from the Congress for sending INLD leaders into jail for no crime,” he said.
