Chandigarh December 15: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today said a new law would soon be enacted so as to keep a check on the cow slaughter in the State and added that efforts would be made to present a bill in this regard in the next session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
The Chief Minister was responding to the queries of Media Persons after redressing the grievances of people at Yamunanagar. When his attention was drawn towards the problem of traffic congestion in the district, he said that today he has announced that a ring road would be constructed for Yamunagar-Jagadhari to decongest the traffic and it would soon be constructed.
In reply to another question, the Chief Minister said the present BJP government in the State would fulfill all its promise made in the election manifesto of the Party. When asked about giving pay scale to government employees at par with that of Punjab, Mr Manohar Lal said that the previous Congress Government in the State had dug many pits which need to be filled. The first priority of the government is to improve the fiscal position of the State, he added.
