November 13-Haryana, the land of ancient culture, sermons of Geeta and simple and brave people, is going to make its presence at the India International Trade Fair – 2011, starting at Pragti Maidan, New Delhi from tomorrow. The visitors in the Fair will be able to see the glimpse of the Haryana’s folk art and the progress made by Haryana in various sectors of economy.
The displays at the Haryana Pavilion showcase the achievements of artisans by way of wide range of their products, as per the theme of the IITF-2011 i.e. Indian Handicrafts- Magic of gifted hands. In spite of being an agricultural State, Haryana today has made tremendous progress in various fields of industry. , which is aptly shown in the Pavilion.
The exterior of the Haryana Pavilion shows the mural of Arjun Rath of Mahabharat battle, alongwith the artisans making pottery and a glimplse of rural life. There is also mural of Surajkund Craft Mela, which shows that Haryana Government gives great importance to the presentation of the art work and products of artisans in the Mela every year.
In the Haryana Pavilion, 114 industrial units, 25 departments of State Government alongwith Boards and Corporations and Iskcon temple are taking part this year. The achievements and schemes of the Departments, Boards and Corporations have been shown through the medium of models and translights. The products of automobile sector, IT and IT enabled services, readymade garments and handloom are also shown in the Pavilion. The liberlized industrial atmosphere created by the Government is attracting Multinational Companies and big Industrial Houses, for setting up their units in the State.
Good living products have also been exhibited at the Pavilion, which include textiles, milk products, herbal products, honey, facial packs, rice and fancy lamps articles etc. Some artisans are also showing their presence alongwith the display of their products.
In the Pavilion, the art work of well-known artist of Yamunanagar Mrs Renuka Sondhi Gulati has also been displayed, whose theme is Women Empowerment. To attract children, different models of Atlas cycles have also been displayed.
The visitors at the Pavilion can also enjoy the taste of well-known Vita milk of Haryana.
