CHANDIGARH, Oct 22- An independent MLA from Punhana in district Mewat, Mr Rahish Khan, has offered unconditional support to BJP in Haryana, which is to form Government in the State on October 26.
Mr Khan, who was accompanied by MP from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh, Mr Dharambir, called on Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki and submitted to him a written offer to support the BJP Government in the State.
Later while talking to representatives of electronic media, Mr Dharambir said that during the General Elections to Haryana Assembly 2014, three candidates hailing from minority community have been elected from Mewat district.These included an independent and two from Indian National Lok Dal. He said that Mr Rahish Khan being impressed with the policies of the Prime Minister, Mr Narender Modi, had decided to support the new BJP Government in Haryana.
Mr Khan said that as a result of policies of Mr Modi, tremendous development was taking place in the country. Therefore, to get his area more developed, he has offered unconditional support to the new BJP Government in Haryana.
Son of a former Haryana Minister Mr Azmat Khan, he said that his father was also elected as MLA in 1987.He said that his brother Mr Azad Mohamad was former Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
Mr Khan said that in 2005, he was a member of the Zila Parishad and before contesting elections in 2014, he was Director of Mewat Cooperative Bank.
