Chandigarh, March 15-Haryana Government has reconstituted the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) under the Chairmanship of Finance Minister for purchase of stores.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Industries Department said that Industries Minister, Agriculture Minister, Health Minister, Minister-in-charge of the Indenting Department, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Finance Department and Industries and Commerce Department, Administrative Secretary of the Indenting Department and Head of the Indenting Department would be its members, whereas Director, Supplies and Disposals, Haryana would be its Member-Secretary. Additional Director(Technical), Industries and Commerce Department would be special invitee in the HPPC.In case of Departments under the charge of Chief Minister, the concerned Administrative Secretary would attend the meeting, he added.
He said that the quorum for HPPC would comprise Chairman, any of the member Ministers, Minister-in-Charge of the Indenting Department, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Finance, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Administrative Secretary of the Indenting Department and Director, Supplies and Disposals, Haryana.
In case of the Chairman, HPPC was not available to preside over the meeting due to unavoidable circumstances, the senior most Minister from amongst the Member Ministers present would preside over the meeting, he added.
The spokesman said that HPPC would consider and decide such cases of stores of all government departments as having financial value above Rs 30 lakh, those of all boards, corporations and federations above Rs 50 lakh, those of power utilities above Rs 10 crore and those of turnkey projects of power utilities above Rs 50 crore.
All departments, organizations would place their indents with the Director, Supplies and Disposal for processing and placement before the HPPC, he added.
